As medical director of sports medicine, Dr. Matz will be responsible for working with collegiate and secondary school athletic directors in Carroll County to assure the safety and prompt treatment of student athletes who experience athletic injuries.
In addition to his appointment as medical director of sports medicine at the hospital, Dr. Matz also joined Carroll Health Group Orthopaedics. He has more than 25 years of experience, specializing in knee and shoulder surgery and sports medicine.
