Dr. Robert Anderson to perform season-ending heel surgery on Wizards’ John Wall: 3 notes

Robert Anderson, MD, will perform season-ending surgery on Washington Wizards point guard John Wall’s left heel, according to a team statement.

Here’s what you should know:

1. Mr. Wall will be treated for a Haglund’s deformity and Achilles tendon injury in his left foot.

2. Dr. Anderson will perform a debridement and repair on Mr. Wall, who is expected to remain in recovery for six to eight months postoperative.

3. Dr. Anderson is an orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist at Bellin Health Titletown Sports Medicine and Orthopedics in Green Bay, Wis. He serves as an associate team physician for the Green Bay Packers.
