Robert Anderson, MD, will perform ankle surgery on Minnesota Twins right-hander Ricky Nolasco, according to a Minneapolis Star Tribune‎ report.

2. He has tried resting the ankle, a cortisone injection and orthotics but they all failed to alleviate the injury.

 

3. Dr. Anderson is a founding member of the Foot & Ankle Institute at Charlotte-based OrthoCarolina.

 

4. He is a past president of the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society and is a team physician for the Carolina Panthers.

 

5. Dr. Anderson completed a foot and ankle fellowship at Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.
