Dr. Robert Anderson to operate on Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes

Robert Anderson, MD, will repair the torn plantar plate in the toe of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes Feb. 10, NFL.com reported.

Mr. Mahomes injured his toe in a Jan. 17 game against the Cleveland Browns. He played through the injury for two more games, including the Super Bowl.

He will need several months to rehabilitate from the injury, but is expected to make a full recovery.

Dr. Anderson is an orthopedic surgeon, sports medicine physician, and foot and ankle specialist at Bellin Health Titletown Sports Medicine and Orthopedics in Green Bay, Wis.
