Dr. Robert Anderson Repairs Cavaliers Player Anderson Varejao’s Ruptured Tendon

Robert Anderson, head team physician for the Cleveland Cavaliers, recently performed surgery on Cavaliers forward Anderson Varejao, according to a Real GM Basketball report.

Mr. Varejao ruptured his right peroneal longus tendon. The surgery was performed at Mercy Hospital in Charlotte, N.C. Richard Parker, MD, of Cleveland Clinic Sports Health also participated in the surgery.

Mr. Varejao is now prepared to undergo 12-16 weeks of treatment and rehabilitation before returning to normal activity.
