Dr. Richard Berger Performs Wrist Surgery on Nationals’ Jayson Werth

Richard A. Berger, MD, an orthopedic hand surgeon at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn., performed wrist surgery on Washington Nationals right fielder Jayson Werth, according to an MLB report.

Mr. Werth previously injured his wrist while playing with the Dodgers in 2005. He sustained the most recent injury during a game against the Philadelphia Phillies while fielding a ball. Dr. Berger performed a procedure to repair Mr. Werth’s displaced left distal radius fracture.
