2. Dr. Phillips is currently the chief of professional services with the 228th Combat Support Hospital in Joint Base San Antonio-Fort Sam Houston in Bexar County, Texas.
3. Dr. Phillips specializes in hand and microvascular surgery, and he served as a surgeon in the U.S. Army Reserve for more than 20 years.
4. Previously, Dr. Phillips was part of the orthopedic surgery department at Hill Country Memorial Hospital in Fredericksburg, Texas and former chief of the orthopedic department at Medical Center Arlington (Texas).
5. Dr. Phillips completed his orthopedic residency at Martin Luther King/Drew Medical Center in Los Angeles and his hand and microvascular fellowship at UC San Diego Medical Center.
