Dr. Nicholas R. Taweel Wins Evidence-Based Medicine Award

Nicholas R. Taweel, DPM, DPT, an instructor in orthopedic surgery at Thomas Jefferson University Medical College in Philadelphia, was recognized for providing the best evidence-based recommendations for podiatric treatments, according to an AMPA report.

Dr. Taweel beat out three others for his recommendation that eccentric exercise is the beast treatment for Achilles tendinopathy. His research is based on six reviews and 32 randomized controlled trials.
