Neal ElAttrache, MD, will perform Tommy John surgery on Saint Louis Cardinals pitcher Trevor Rosenthal, MLB.com reports.

1. Mr. Rosenthal partially tore the ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow. He will miss the rest of the season and likely all of 2018 as he recovers.

 

2. Dr. ElAttrache, a renowned orthopedic surgeon, is the chairman of the board and program director for the Los Angeles-based Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic fellowship.

 

3. He is the head team physician for the Los Angeles Dodgers. He is also an orthopedic consultant to the Anaheim Ducks, St. Louis Rams, Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Kings and the PGA Tour.
