1. Mr. Conforto tore his shoulder in August, while swinging at a pitch. He will have the surgery sometime in early September.

 

2. Rehabilitation could require Mr. Conforto to miss the beginning of the 2018 season.

 

3. Dr. ElAttrache, a renowned orthopedic surgeon, is the chairman of the board and program director for the Los Angeles-based Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic fellowship.

 

4. He is the head team physician for the Los Angeles Dodgers. He is also an orthopedic consultant to the Anaheim Ducks, St. Louis Rams, Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Kings and the PGA Tour.
