Dr. Neal ElAttrache operates on Conor McGregor’s leg

Neal ElAttrache, MD, operated on UFC lightweight Conor McGregor on July 11.

Dr. ElAttrache and Milton Little, MD, both from Los Angeles-based Cedars Sinai Medical Center, operated on Mr. McGregor for three hours, according to the UFC fighter’s agent, Audie Attar. The operation repaired features in Mr. McGregor’s tibia and fibula.

Mr. McGregor was out of the operating room Sunday evening and has a six-week recovery ahead of him, he said in a tweet.

Mr. McGregor broke his leg in a loss to Dustin Poirier on July 10, ESPN reported July 11. Mr. McGregor’s leg buckled when he went to plant his foot on the mat.
