Dr. Neal EIAttrache performs surgery on Los Angeles Angels’ Alex Meyer – likely to miss 2018 season

Los Angeles Angels pitcher Alex Meyers is expected to miss the 2018 season after undergoing shoulder surgery performed by Neal EIAttrache, MD, according to ESPN.

1. Dr. EIAttrache performed surgery to repair a torn labrum in Mr. Meyers’ shoulder.

 

2. Typical recovery time for this procedure is 12 months; however, Mr. Meyers will be continually evaluated.

 

3. Dr. EIAttrache is the head team physician for the Los Angeles Dodgers and Los Angeles Rams. He is also an orthopedic consultant to the Anaheim Ducks, Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Kings and the PGA Tour.

 

4. Dr. Neal ElAttrache is an orthopedic surgeon at Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles. He is a member of the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic board of directors, chairman of the board of the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Foundation and program director for the Kerlan-Jobe Fellowship.
