Orthopedic surgeon and hand specialist, Michelle G. Carlson, MD, of New York City-based Hospital for Special Surgery will perform surgery on Toronto Raptors’ guard, Kyle Lowry’s wrist.

1. Dr. Carson will remove loose bodies from Mr. Lowry’s right wrist.

 

2. Mr. Lowry missed the Raptors’ past two games after the pain began on Feb. 15.

 

3. His current symptoms include persistent pain, limited joint range, and swelling.

 

4. Mr. Lowry is expected to recover in time for the NBA Playoffs, which begin on Apr. 15.
