Dr. Michelle Carlson performs season-ending surgery on Utah Jazz forward

Orthopedic surgeon Michelle Carlson, MD, on May 19 performed surgery to repair a ruptured scapholunate ligament in the right wrist of Utah Jazz forward Bojan Bogdanović, according to the NBA.

Dr. Carlson, a hand and upper extremity specialist, performed the operation at Hospital for Special Surgery in New York City.

Mr. Bogdanović obtained the injury last season, and decided to play through his debut campaign with the Jazz.

He will begin rehabilitation soon, but is expected to miss the 2020-21 NBA season.
