Dr. Michelle Carlson operates on Hornets’ Cody Zeller

Michelle Carlson, MD, operated on Charlotte Hornets’ center Cody Zeller, repairing the fourth metacarpal in his left hand, the team reported Dec. 24.

Mr. Zeller broke his hand during a Dec. 23 game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. The team expects Mr. Zeller will need at least four weeks to recover.

Dr. Carlson is an orthopedic surgeon at New York City-based Hospital for Special Surgery. She is a hand and upper extremity specialist.
