Dr. Hazel earned his medical degree from Louisiana State University. He went on to complete a general surgery internship and orthopedic surgery residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in Lubbock. Dr. Hazel was also a fellow at the San Diego Center for Arthroscopy and Sports Medicine in California.
