Dr. Mark Getelman named a healthcare champion by Pacific Coast Business Times: 4 thoughts

Southern California Orthopedic Institute’s Mark Getelman, MD, was recently named one of the 2016 Champions in Healthcare-Specialist Physician by the Pacific Coast Business Times.

Here are four things to know:

 

1. Dr. Getelman received was named this “for his experience, expertise and history in forging successful partnerships to make healthcare accessible and to improve patient outcomes in the Tri Country region.”

2. Dr. Getelman received his medical degree at the University of Florida. He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at Boston University. He then had a fellowship in sports medicine, arthroscopic and reconstructive surgery at the Southern California Orthopedic Institute. He joined the practice permanently in 1997.

 

3. Dr. Getelman specializes in treating conditions of the shoulder and knee, as well as all sports related injury. His practice specializes in advanced repair techniques for shoulder instability, rotator cuff tears, SLAP lesions and ACL, meniscal and articular cartilage injuries.

 

4. Dr. Getelman has served on several national medical societies and he has had his researched published in national journals.
