E. Lyle Cain, Jr., MD, performed knee surgery on redshirt freshman Richie Petitbon of University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa, according to a Montgomery Advisor report.

1. Mr. Petitbon, an offensive guard, is expected to make a full recovery.

 

2. Dr. Cain is a co-founder of Birmingham, Ala.-based Andrews Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center.

 

3. He focuses on arthroscopy and treatment of sports-related injuries, and he is a member of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine.

 

4. He serves as team physician for the University of Alabama.
