Here are five highlights:
1. Regional Brain and Spine acquired the system in early August, making it the first hospital in Missouri to integrate the Mazor X platform.
2. By using the Mazor X patients experience less pain and blood loss, smaller incisions, shorter hospitalization and a faster recovery time.
3. Mazor X also eliminates a patient’s exposure to radiation during surgery.
4. Dr. Vaught is a board certified neurosurgeon and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and American Association of Neurological Surgeons.
5. Previously, Dr. Vaught served as chief of staff at the Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
