Keith Meister, MD, of Texas Metroplex Institute for Sports Medicine and Orthopedics, will perform the procedure. Mr. Hamilton began experiencing pain last September and took time off during the off-season, but re-aggravated his injury during a charity bowling event.
Mr. Hamilton is expected to be out six to eight weeks recovering from surgery and he is doubtful to return to play by opening day.
