Dr. Katie Vadasdi Leads Educational Orthopedics for Female Students

Katie Vadasdi, MD, an orthopedic surgeon with Orthopaedic and Neurosurgery Specialists, recently led educational demonstrations and talks at the ONS Foundation for Clinical Research and Education in Greenwich, Conn., to high school girls.

The presentations included hands-on labs and arthroscopic surgery demonstrations. The Foundation offers programs for students about medical professions. Dr. Vadasdi was joined by hand surgeon Mark Vitale, MD, and physiatrist Tamar Kessel, MD.

Dr. Vadasdi believes that mentoring can play a key role in bringing more women into medicine and the orthopedic specialty.
