Dr. Jonas L. Matzon Joins Philadelphia’s Rothman Institute

Jonas L. Matzon, MD, a hand, wrist and elbow surgeon, has joined Philadelphia’s Rothman Institute, according to a Citybizlist report.

Currently, Dr. Matzon is an assistant professor of orthopedic surgery at Thomas Jefferson university hospital. He has expertise in mircrosurgery, hand arthritis, wrist fractures and elbow reconstruction.

Dr. Matzon earned his medical degree from the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Pennsylvania. His additional training includes a hand surgery fellowship at the Curtis National Hand Center at Union Memorial Hospital in Baltimore. Dr. Matzon is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the American Society for Surgery of the hand.
