Dr. Jennifer Hopp named leader of new sports medicine program — 3 insights

Jennifer Hopp, MD, was tapped to lead the women’s sports medicine program at Wentworth-Douglass Hospital Portsmouth (N.H.) Outpatient Center, according to Seacoastonline.com.

Three things to know:

1. The new program, which is part of the Wentworth-Douglass Hospital Center for Orthopedics & Sports Medicine, is designed to provide musculoskeletal care for women and girls of all ages and athletic abilities.

2. In addition to leading the sports medicine program, Dr. Hopp will see patients through the Center for Women’s Health and Wellness in Portsmouth and serve as a team physician for the Durham-based University of New Hampshire Wildcats.

3. Dr. Hopp has nearly 10 years of clinical practice experience in primary care and sports medicine. She is joining Wentworth-Douglass from HCA VA Sports Medicine in Richmond, Va.
