Here are three things to know.
1. Dr. Brand is a board-certified orthopedic sports medicine surgeon at Heartland Orthopedic Specialists in Morris, Minn. He also serves as team orthopedic physician for the University of Minnesota Morris Cougars.
2. Dr. Brand is the first team physician to be inducted into the Hall of Fame.
3. He received his medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School in Minneapolis and underwent sports medicine fellowship training at the University of Kentucky in Lexington. Dr. Brand is also a visiting professor at the University of Louisville in Kentucky.
