Dr. James Andrews to treat Auburn basketball player Horace Spencer — 4 notes

Auburn (Ala.) University basketball player Horace Spencer’s shoulder injury will be treated by James Andrews, MD, this week.

Here are four things to know:

 

1. Dr. Andrews will perform the surgery at the Andrews Institute in Pensacola, Fla on Thursday, Feb. 16.

 

2. Mr. Spencer injured his left shoulder in a game on Jan. 31.

 

3. He is expected to undergo a four-month rehabilitation process following the surgery.

 

4. Dr. Andrews recently treated fellow college athlete Chayce Crouch’s AC separation and has remained involved in Mr. Crouch’s rehab, according to The News Gazette.
