Dr. James Andrews to Examine Oakland Athletics Pitcher Andrew Bailey’s Forearm Strain

Oakland Athletics closing pitcher Andrew Bailey will likely begin the season on the disabled list due to recovering from a strained right forearm, which will be overseen by James Andrews, MD, founder of Andrews Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine Center in Birmingham, Ala., according to an ESPN news report.

Mr. Bailey was injured during a spring training game. He hopes missing games now to recover from the injury will mean he’ll be back to speed later in the season.
