Dr. James Andrews performs knee surgery on Cleveland Browns’ Phil Taylor

James Andrews, MD, performed knee surgery on Cleveland Browns defensive lineman Phil Taylor, according to an Akron Beacon Journal report.

Dr. Andrews, of Gulf Breeze, Fla.-based Andrews Institute for Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine, is a noted sports medicine specialist. He received the 2014 Robert E. Leach Mr. Sports Medicine Award at the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine’s Annual Meeting in Seattle. He performed surgery on Mr. Taylor’s right knee, according to the report.
