2. Dr. Andrews is a founding member of Birmingham, Ala.-based Andrews Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center and a co-founder of American Sports Medicine Institute, a nonprofit institute that focuses on injury prevention as well as orthopedic and sports medicine education and research.
3. He earned his medical degree from Baton Rouge-based Louisiana State University School of Medicine.
4. Following medical school, he completed his residency at Tulane Medical School in New Orleans.
5. Dr. James Andrews completed fellowships at Charlottesville-based University of Virginia Medical School and University of Lyon in France.
