Dr. James Andrews Discusses Adrian Peterson’s Near-Record Season After Knee Surgery

James Andrews, MD, founder of Andrews Institute for Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine in Gulf Breeze, Fla., recently discussed Minnesota Vikings standout Adrian Peterson’s performance this season after recovering from knee surgery last year with Pioneer Press.

Dr. Andrews performed surgery on Mr. Peterson, who had tears in his anterior cruciate and medial collateral ligaments, according to the report. Since returning to the NFL this season, Mr. Peterson led the league in rushing yards with 2,097, nearly a record-breaking season.

Dr. Andrews also discussed youth sports injuries in the article and urged healthy training habits for young athletes.
