Dr. J.W. Thomas Byrd performs hip surgery on KU basketball player

J.W. Thomas Byrd, MD, performed a three-hour surgery to repair a torn labrum of the hip on Kansas University sophomore guard Brannan Greene, according to KUSports.com.

According to the report, the surgery was performed at Nashville Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center and the surgery was a success.

Dr. Byrd is also a team physician for the Tennessee Titans.
