Dr. Heidi Narins Suffoletto returns to UBMD Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine: 4 notes

Cheektowaga, N.Y.-based UBMD Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine announced Heidi Narins Suffoletto, MD, will rejoin the practice in mid-March.

Here are four things to know:

 

1. Dr. Suffoletto will treat sports injuries and concussions with a focus on caring for female athletes.

 

2. Dr. Suffoletto said, “[Female athletes] experience injuries differently than their male counterparts, and it’s particularly rewarding to help them overcome those challenges and return to play.”

 

3. She previously practiced at UBMD Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine for three years before departing in 2012 to focus on emergency medicine for four years.

 

4. Dr. Suffoletto is a game-day physician for the Buffalo Sabres and a team physician for the Erie Community College Kats. He is also a clinical assistant professor of emergency medicine and clinical professor of orthopaedics at the University of Buffalo (N.Y.) Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences.
