1. Mr. Osemele tore the labrum in his shoulder. The Jets believed the injury was minor enough that he could play through it, but Mr. Osemele objected and sought out surgery.
2. The Jets fined and then cut Mr. Osemele for missing practice. Mr. Osemele filed a grievance against the team, appealing the fines. The NFL Players Association backs Mr. Osemele.
