Dr. George Paletta Performs Shoulder Surgery on Cardinal’s McClellan

George Paletta, MD, an orthopedic surgeon and team physician for the St. Louis Cardinals, has performed shoulder surgery on Cardinals pitcher Kyle McClellan, according to a St. Louis Post-Dispatch report.

The procedure was performed to repair a torn labrum. Mr. Paletta is expected to sit out the rest of this season.
