Here’s what you should know.
1. Mr. Reyes underwent an MRI on his elbow Feb. 14, 2017, after experiencing discomfort in his elbow. He has pitched with a compromised ligament in his elbow since at least 2013 when physicians diagnosed him with a strain.
2. The team is sending Mr. Reyes to see James Andrews, MD, of Gulf Breeze, Fla.-based Andrews Institute for Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine, for a second consult. However, the team reports they do not expect the prognosis to change.
3. Dr. Paletta is the Cardinals’ team orthopedic physician.
4. He practices out of the Orthopedic Center of St. Louis.
