Dr. Ferguson previously provided care at University of Orthopedics in Providence, R.I. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American College of Surgeons and American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons. He has completed fellowships in orthopedic research at the University of Pittsburgh and orthopedic adult reconstruction joint replacement at Rochester, Minn.-based Mayo Clinic.
Dr. Ferguson also designed and developed a cobalt and chrome alloy knee implant along with a group of engineers, 22 years ago, according to the report.
