Dr. Alberta is also a surgical instructor for the Arthroscopy Association of North American and Arthrex. He previously served as a team physician for several professional Los Angeles teams, including the Dodgers, Anaheim Angels, Lakers, Sparks, Kings, Anaheim Ducks and Galaxy.
Dr. Alberta’s primary research focuses on arthroscopic treatment of shoulder instability, throwing in athletes after arthroscopy and elbow biomechanics. He earned his medical degree at the New Jersey Medical School in Newark and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Connecticut Health Center in Farmington. His additional training includes a fellowship in sports medicine at Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles.
