1. Mr. Iwakuma has been on the disabled list since early May with right shoulder inflammation. Mr. Iwakuma halted baseball activities starting July 4, per Dr. Khalfayan’s order.

 

2. He recently was given a cortisone and platelet rich plasma injection to his shoulder. It’s unsure when Mr. Iwakuma will return to pitching.

 

3. Dr. Khalfayan is an orthopedic surgeon at Seattle-based Swedish Orthopedic Institute.

 

4. Dr. Khalfayan is also the head team physician for the Seattle Seahawks football team.
