Dr. Donald Sheridan Performs Wrist Surgery on Boston Red Sox’s Carl Crawford

Donald Sheridan, MD, recently performed wrist surgery on Boston Red Sox left fielder Carl Crawford, according to a report from the Boston Globe.

Dr. Sheridan previously operated on Mr. Crawford to fix a tendon problem in his right hand in 2008. Mr. Crawford decided to undergo surgery after experiencing pain in his workouts. Imaging studies showed cartilage damage and Dr. Sheridan performed arthroscopic surgery.

Mr. Crawford will likely miss the first part of the 2012 season.
