Dr. David Altchek to Perform Elbow Surgery on Pittsburgh Pirate Jameson Taillon

David Altchek, MD, will perform elbow surgery on Pittsburgh Pirates’ top pitching prospect Jameson Taillon, according to a NBC Sports report.

Dr. Altchek is an attending orthopedic surgeon as well as co-chief in the sports medicine and shoulder service at Hospital for Special Surgery in New York. He will perform “Tommy John” reconstructive surgery on Mr. Taillon’s right elbow, according to the report.
