Orthopedic surgeon Craig Mintzer, MD, performed an arthroscopic procedure on the right knee of Orlando City SC forward Alexandre Pato, the MLS team reports.
Three things to know:
1. Dr. Mintzer, Orlando City’s CMO, specializes in minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery of the knee and shoulder and sports medicine.
2. The procedure was completed May 4 at Orlando (Fla.) Health Jewett Orthopedic Institute.
3. Mr. Pato was injured in Orlando City’s opening game on April 17. He is expected to be sidelined for three to six weeks.
