Dr. Cindy Chang Receives Dr. Ernst Jokl Sports Medicine Award

The United States Sports Academy has granted Cindy Chang, MD, of the University Health Services Tang Center at University of California Berkley, the Dr. Ernst Jokl Sports Medicine Award, according to a report by The Daily Californian.

Dr. Chang is the first woman to receive the award. In 2012, she became the first woman and Asian American chief medical officer for the United States Olympic Team.

 

In addition to serving as a physician at the Tang Center, Dr. Chang works with the California Concussion Coalition, an organization she co-founded.
