Dr. Christopher Ahmad to Perform Elbow Surgery on Yankees Outfielder Brett Gardner

Christopher Ahmad, MD, head team physician for the New York Yankees, will perform elbow surgery on Yankees outfielder Brett Gardner, according to an MLB report.

Dr. Ahmad will perform the surgery to remove inflamed tissue in his right, non-throwing elbow. The procedure is expected to take Mr. Gardner out of play for the rest of the season.
