What you should know:
1. Mr. Simmons suffered the injury Aug. 5. The injury initially seemed minor, but subsequent examinations revealed the subluxation.
2. Dr. Dodson repaired the kneecap Aug. 10. Mr. Simmons will miss the remainder of the 2020 season as he recovers.
3. Mr. Simmons will begin rehabilitation immediately and will have his knee reevaluated in two weeks.
4. Dr. Dodson is an orthopedic surgeon at Philadelphia-based Rothman Orthopaedic Institute.
