Dr. Charles Burke Performs Knee Surgery for Two Torn Ligaments on NHL Player Evgeni Malkin

Charles Burke, MD, team physician for the NHL Pittsburgh Penguins, performed surgery on Penguins forward Evgeni Malkin for two torn ligaments in his right knee, according to a Post-Gazette report.

After seeking a second opinion, Mr. Malkin agreed to undergo the surgery. He will complete about six months of rehabilitation before returning to play. He is expected to fully heal and recover for surgery before next season.
