1. Cassandra Lee, MD, performed surgery to repair Mr. Klimenta’s ACL in his left knee. Mr. Klimenta plays for the Sacramento Republic FC.
2. Dr. Lee specializes in orthopedic surgery, sports medicine and arthroscopy surgery.
3. She is Sacramento Republic FC’s official team physician.
4. Dr. Lee earned her medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine and completed her orthopedic surgery residency at North Carolina Baptist Hospital in Winston-Salem.
5. She then finished her sports medicine fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis.
6. Dr. Lee said the surgery was a success and she projects Mr. Klimenta will be on the field in a few months following physical therapy.
