Dr. Brian Schofield Performs Hand Surgery on Orioles’ Nick Markakis

Brian Schofield, MD, performed hand surgery on Baltimore Orioles outfielder Nick Markakis for a fractured hamate in his right wrist, according to a Boston Herald report.

Mr. Markakis injured his hand during play in May. Dr. Schofield performed the procedure in Sarasota, Fla. Mr. Markakis will spend two to four weeks recovering from the procedure.
