Dr. Carofino is a fellowship-trained orthopedic hand, shoulder and elbow surgeon.
He earned his medical degree and completed an orthopedic surgery residency at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine in Farmington. He then completed an orthopedic hand surgery fellowship at the Mayo Clinic and a shoulder and elbow surgery fellowship at the University of Washington in Seattle.
