Dr. Bert Mandelbaum performs ACL surgery on Jordan Morris: 3 takeaways

Bert Mandelbaum, MD, successfully performed right knee surgery on Seattle Sounders’ forward Jordan Morris, MLS reports.

Here are three things to know.

1. Mr. Morris tore his ACL during the Sounders’ Concacaf Champions League game against Santa Tecla in El Salvador Feb. 22.

2. Dr. Mandelbaum, of the Cedars-Sinai Kerlan-Jobe Institute in Santa Monica, Calif., performed the surgery March 14. He received his medical degree from Washington University Medical School in St. Louis and underwent sports fellowship training at UCLA.

3. Mr. Morris began rehabilitation immediately. He will be out for the season.
