Dr. Ashley Zapf joins Andrews Institute: 3 things to know

Ashley Zapf, MD, is joining the staff of the Andrews Institute for Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine in Gulf Breeze, Fla., the Santa Rose Press Gazette reports.

Here’s what you should know.

 

1. Dr. Zapf is a primary care sports medicine physician. She specializes in the treatment of concussions and other neurological and musculoskeletal conditions. She also provides diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.

 

2. Dr. Zapf earned his medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School. After graduation she completed an internship in internal medicine at the Portsmouth Naval Hospital, in Virginia. She had a residency at the Schwab Rehabilitation Hospital at the University of Chicago, before she completed a fellowship in primary care sports medicine at the University of Florida.

 

3. Dr. Zapf will additionally work out of an office in Baptist Medical Park in Florida.
