Dr. Arthur Valadie receives baseball services award

The Professional Baseball Athletic Trainers Society gave Arthur Valadie, MD, a plaque recognizing his 20 years of service, Sarasota magazine reported March 3.

Dr. Valadie is an orthopedic surgeon and sports medicine specialist with Bradenton, Fla.-based Coastal Orthopedics.

He has been the team doctor for the Gulf Coast League Pirates during that time, and is a sports medicine physician to the U.S. Soccer Team, IMG Academy and State College of Florida.

He specializes in sports medicine, arthroscopy, and knee and shoulder reconstruction procedures, and is the physician president for Coastal Orthopedics.
